All cotton fabric shrinks with washing. The size of the wedge cover is designed to shrink, so wear it properly after washing. Do not wash in hot water. Warm or cold water should be fine. Use a low temperature dryer or they may shrink too much. This is cotton. When dried with a bunch of other clothes and cooled in the dryer, they get very wrinkled. I removed them (I had 2) from the dryer as soon as the dryer signal went out. They were slightly damp which is what I wanted. I smoothed them out on a flat surface and let them dry. Both fit well in the wedge. It's actually a little loose, but may shrink a little with the next wash. Make sure the cap is properly oriented before placing it on the wedge. I have a problem with both wedge caps. They made my skin itch wherever they touched my skin. When I first got the wedges I thought the itching was from the bamboo covers so I ordered cotton covers. They also caused the same burning itch. I tried a soft bed pillow with a pillowcase on both wedges: one under the neck, the other under the legs. No more itching and I feel better.
