I would have preferred a lighter color but white is more expensive and they are more expensive to begin with. I wanted cotton, it says 100% Egyptian cotton, whatever it is, and it doesn't look like the cotton pillowcases I have for regular pillows. More like polyester - has an almost silky sheen. In any case, I think you have to take your word for it when it comes to cotton - it's made in China (with so much more choice, I wouldn't buy there). All cotton fabric shrinks with washing. The size of the wedge cover is designed to shrink, so wear it properly after washing. Do not wash in hot water. Warm or cold water should be fine. Use a low temperature dryer or they may shrink too much. This is cotton. When dried with a bunch of other clothes and cooled in the dryer, they get very wrinkled.
