Wash separately before use.
Don't wash them with anything that shouldn't be red. Outside the packaging they smell of petroleum products. They fade a bit after washing and the color shimmers on everything else. All house cleaning cloths are now red. After a few wash/dry cycles, the color seems to have stabilized and the subtle odor has disappeared. They are alright.
