No longer transfers data through a connector, was only a month old.

I have this cable exactly one day into a month so I can no longer return it. I've used it a total of 2 times before and it worked fine, but now it only transmits power but no data through both ends of the connector. I lost a couple of hours tonight thinking there was something wrong with my setup until I replaced it with a different cable and everything worked fine.
