Review on Nucookery Sponge Holder, Ceramic Dish Sponge Holder For Kitchen Sink With Sponge, Porcelain Kitchen Sink Sponge Caddy, Farmhouse Kitchen Sink Organizer For Sink Accessories by Donna Marshall

I didn't know I needed this until I had it

I wasn't even looking for a sponge caddy when I saw this and ordered it on a whim about a month ago.The holder itself is basically a ceramic coffee mug with a slot in the middle. The sponge rests about 3/4 of the way down the holder, leaving a small reservoir under the sponge where water can drip down. This lets you just dump out the runoff in the sink like emptying a cup. It's super easy to hand wash clean and feels sturdy (I didn't throw it against a wall or anything but it feels well cast). The display page says it's dishwasher safe but I haven't had to wash it that thoroughly yet.My girlfriend and I just moved and the kitchen sink at our new place is totally flat and has no built in recessions to hold a sponge, so there was always a puddle of water under the sponge. No mas! It doesn't take up much space on the counter top and we've never had any issues with it getting in the way.My only complaint (if you can even call it that) is that there isn't an option to select different text on the front of the container, so we just turn it around leaving the blank side facing out.Definitely recommend this item if you're looking for a low profile and unobtrusive sponge management system.

Pros
  • Small for the small sinks. Cute and hold large sponges also.
Cons
  • The porcelain material is prone to staining, and cleaning it can be difficult if it gets dirty
