Nice thin laptop with disappointing screen

My old 2012 ThinkPad that I used for some stuff to get those things out of my new computer finally died. I chose this Ideapad as a viable option for this purpose. As most people know, the ThinkPad has the best keyboard in the business. This machine can't live up to that standard, but for a laptop it's fine. I'm a fast typist and I got over it. The screen looks good but only has a resolution of 1366 x 768, which is uninspiring for a 15-inch screen. This device is not designed for gaming or high-end photo and video editing! A very nice feature that many computer manufacturers don't offer: the top row of buttons has moved options for various computer functions. This machine, like most of its competitors, comes in kit form, so additional options aren't postponed. You must press the Fn + F key for the function key to work. Not good for people who know Windows keyboard shortcuts or have software that uses function keys regularly. Fortunately, in the BIOS of this machine there is a way to restore the correct function of the keys. I almost never use these extra key functions, but I use the actual function keys regularly, making the computer more enjoyable to use. lightning fast with 12 GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD. It's also very thin and light, making it much easier to carry around. However, I was surprised that it doesn't charge via USB and that the power adapter has fixed pins instead of foldable ones. This is a minor complaint, but surprising nonetheless. I haven't used it long enough to check the battery life. Big Warning: Will this device come with Windows 10S which I've heard MS has withdrawn? If you don't want to limit yourself to only using apps from the Windows Store, be sure to google how to switch back to Windows Home from 10S. I would return this computer if I couldn't go back to real Windows 10. If you prefer to use local accounts on the computer rather than a Microsoft account, be sure to ignore WiFi connectivity during installation. Only if it has no network connection, you can set up a local account. You can connect to WiFi at any time after setup is complete.
