I think they are pretty big. Normally I'm always 7 years old (women 8-8.5) and 6 years old is perfect for me. But I found the main size difference in the smaller sizes. My son is 4 years old in sneakers and eventually fitted them at 1 and 2 years old. 1 fits him almost perfectly and 2 fits but is a bit big.
