I bought these boots because school wouldn't let my son play outside in the boots I put him on (they weren't waterproof). So far we haven't had any problems with them. My son can put them on, tuck his legs in and they keep the snow out well. We'll be able to test them in the rain soon but I'm sure they'll do the job I bought them for and keep his feet warm and dry whatever the rainy weather. The only thing I don't like is that we had to walk home from his school several times (almost 1 mile), he complained that his legs hurt a little when we got home, so 4 stars instead of 5 BUT If you're not likely to be running much at once and need a good pair of boots for your little boy, these should be the perfect 5 for you.
