Soft sweatshirt-like material that feels as soft as a baby blanket, both inside and out. The inside tag seemed a little rough, so I cut it off.I bought a Large because my Old-Lady-Kitty is shaved and I wanted to fully cover her hips. It is a little loose on the tummy, but it fully cover her hips. This is a good design for a cat because it gives them more freedom to clean themselves. I like that both front legs share the same opening. Easy on and off. She is happy in it, feeling cozy on these cool Autumn evenings. I take it off during the day.
