I recently went crazy building a new NAS and settled on 8TB IronWolf drives. I was seduced by the marketing and the cool name. That choice was a mistake. The rattling and clattering of IronWolf discs during resync threatened to throw me out of the room. After returning to the WD 8TB Reds, the buzz was welcome. Yes, I can hardly hear them, but at least in the next room with the door closed I don't hear them. They were a little more expensive than the IronWolf, but they were worth it. These drives might spin a bit slower, but performance is pretty much the same as far as I can tell. These are exceptional drives: quiet, powerful and powerful. Check this out if you want: My previous WD Reds ran continuously for 51,925 hours (5.9 years!) with no bad sectors or bad SMART status.
