Value for money is pretty good here. I'm a single mom with few tools and limited furniture assembly experience. I assembled this in less than twenty minutes with a single screwdriver. This is for a loft, so it doesn't have to be fancy, just functional. Kids have their own TVs, DVDs, play equipment and even a few board games all ticking beautifully on this TV stand. It even comes with tissue baskets which was a nice touch. Update - after a month the middle of the top shelf looks a bit slagged but that doesn't bother me. If I bought this item to put in my living room or somewhere where it would be seen frequently, maybe it would bother me more. But as I said, the price-performance ratio is right for me. The durability of this piece might not be great over the long term, but it's been affordable and has worked for kids' TV and gaming so far.
