I used it as a layer on a tarpaulin as a trace of a tent, and also under a sleeping bag on a folding bed. In terms of keeping warm, I think it worked. I was still cold at night, but not as cold as before. However, when I unpacked them, some of the pieces stuck together and when I pulled them apart, they tore. Entire folded sections were taped and torn, leaving large rectangular holes. Since it was a layered pack, I was able to at least use one more to put on top of the hole. Where I planned to use four, I ended up using 8. They are also very thin. The last Mylar sheets I used were three times as thick.
