I have been trying to successfully dye my hair dark brown for almost a year, whether I dye it at home or go to the salon. . Each time my hair turned dark brown red, always red in it no matter what shade I chose. As I followed her into the salon, the poor thing tried her best to take out the reds when she dyed it for me and it still came out a dark auburn.
