Poor design with weak motor

I would not recommend this unit to anyone looking for a pole mount solution. As other reviewers have pointed out, there is absolutely no way for the device to align itself when mounted on a pole. Without tie-down straps attached to the hooks, the unit will tip forward after installation. I've seen some reviews suggesting putting a washer in the gap between the top of the unit and the bottom of the shelf above, which works, but only to prevent it from tipping forward. That means if you load zip ties on it - unless you fill the entire rack with 72 zip ties - as soon as you start twisting the zip ties as they reach the back of the unit, the weight shifts and the padding falls out, eh this causes the device to lean backwards instead of forwards or stay in a horizontal position. Obviously this unit was designed with a wire rack mount in mind as the design for the rod mount solutions was obviously an afterthought to try to sell more units. It's terribly imperfect. Even if you put in a shim and loaded the rack with all 72 tie-down straps to keep the weight from shifting forward or backward, you'll run into an entirely different problem. The ones I mentioned in another review. engine is annoying. If the motor is not loaded or only partially loaded, it will spin too fast. When fully charged, it spins painfully slowly or doesn't spin at all. The noise coming out of the device sounds like the engine is choking and struggling to twist your ties. I have a custom made closet big enough that I can just toss this piece of junk and the closet company will come back and modify one of the drawers to hold ties because this product is missing the mark. save your money I would only recommend this to anyone if you are installing it in a wire rack and don't intend to stuff it with zip ties. For example, tie a hook through every second.
