Review on Standard Motor Products LX 218 Ignition by Fred Meeks
Buyer Warning! in ECUs
The description says Standard Motor Products LX218 from BestDealauto but it's not SMP or LX218. If you have a distributor ICM installed (older Ford) it should be grey. The black one is for fender mounts only (later version) and they are wired differently although they look and fit the same. Even if you mix them up, the car starts but doesn't work well. I've just contacted Revain for a refund. We'll see how it goes. One star for the item being delivered within the estimated time frame, but should receive 0 stars if the wrong item was delivered and/or a misleading description.
