Review on ๐Ÿ“ท eufy Solo IndoorCam C22: 1080p Wi-Fi Security Camera with Human and Pet AI, Night Vision, Two-Way Audio by Solomon Inks

Revainrating 4 out of 5

1080P C22 is not as good as 2K C24 in low light.

Eufy brand security cameras are fast becoming my indoor and outdoor security cameras. This C22 indoor security camera isn't quite as good as the C24, which gives users the ability to view and record in 2K resolution, but to be honest most users will be fine with it for less money. All you need is a camera and an app to monitor the interior with this plugin, a Wi-Fi connection and a surveillance camera. It's easy to add more cameras to the app.2. 1080P HD resolution in daylight and well-lit areas provides superior clarity for videos and photos.3. The EufySecurity app is great! Works well and is fairly intuitive, allowing even non-experts to figure out how to use their camera or multiple cameras effectively. I like that you can pinch and zoom even when using live view.4. The C22 can be wall or ceiling mounted using the included bracket. I love that Eufy even gives users the size of the drill they need to screw in to get the plastic anchors into the drywall. The microSD slot supports cards up to 128GB (not included) for onboard storage. No need to pay any fee for cloud service.6. The included power cord allows users to plug the powered Wi-Fi camera into an outlet and place it at a height of up to 2.1m when plugged into a medium-height outlet.7. Live images from this camera are clear and the maximum speaker volume is good.8. The 135-degree viewing angle is enough to see almost all three corners in the corner of a room; the whole room (not the corner where the camera is). Raising the camera helps a lot.9. Build quality is good and the attached base rotates to allow for multiple angles. Wall mount made of durable plastic.โžก๏ธ CLOSE BUT IT COULD BE BETTER1. Low light performance is good but not outstanding. The 2K C24 I have also does better in the 2K setting in low light. But for watching the movement of people and animals or crying (like in the baby room at night), this 1080P camera is good.2. Temperature can affect performance. I was originally hoping to use this camera in my garage but due to the current heat it has shut down. I suspect it was a cam too hot as the wifi was great at this location. When I switched its location to an air-conditioned room, everything was fine. If you're thinking about putting this in an open shed or garage, you can use an outdoor camera instead if that bothers you. I am very happy with this camera and as it is made by Anker (the parent company and myself) I have always had good luck with their products. I believe that the Eufy will work fine after the 1 year warranty expires. There isn't really a way to register cameras online, but when I browsed the Eufy website I noticed many ways to contact the company, so I assume a Revain order number is enough to get service. I've emailed Eufy support to find out more about camera registration, but nothing from them so far. It should be noted that after registering with Eufy you will have a security web portal; a website for testing your cameras that lists all the cameras you've added to the security system and their respective serial numbers. I suspect when you contact Eufy with an issue they refer to your account and the cameras listed there as registered when you connected them to your account. At home via WLAN, the C22 is worth considering. It's easy to set up and use, has two-way communication, a siren, can be placed on a desk or mounted on a ceiling or wall. It's AC or USB powered, and you'll need to use the EufySecurity app to view footage stored on the camera via a microSD card (not included). compared to paying for cloud storage. I am very pleased with my ability to use this camera to monitor our home gym for security at night and quiet during the day. I am very happy with Eufy and this 1080P camera for its ease of setup and use and I think you will be too.
