This was the answer to my prayers for bike transport! I have a ladies beach boat so no top bar and a pair that doesn't fit a bike. I bought a bike rack but because my bike didn't have a top bar it couldn't sit flat on my trunk causing uneven pressure on my car - and unstable bike ride! This bar straightens the alignment and allows you to mount the bike perpendicular to the car. The pull rod is very reliable and now I don't have to worry when I'm out on my bike. Another plus is that I live upstairs and sometimes carrying a bike down the stairs can be a problem, but with this pole I can carry it downstairs while the pole is on the bike and it makes it so much easier and less awkward!
