I'm 5'9 and ordered 2xl. The jacket is quite tight, not very loose and rather short. The outer material is quite soft, but not as soft as I expected. He's definitely warm. Inside, the maral is on the top of the collar so it would be fun to wear in cold weather. I would order a size up if you want a looser fit.
