Purrs like a kitten, runs like a lion
My sons occasionally slipped the 03 Silverado. I tried new plugs and wires since it had 140,000 miles on it, it helped a bit but the code didn't stay clear. I put them on, they fit perfectly and now not only is the code gone but the rough idle that has been gone for as long as I can remember. Most notably, however, is that the smooth acceleration and shifting are back and noticeably improved, apparently at least some of the required coils were replaced long ago.
