Review on Foxelli Lightweight Hooded Rain Poncho: Ultimate Occupational Health & Safety Gear in Emergency Response Equipment by Chad Carter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It looks well designed and made - I have yet to test it. ** Challenge yourself in the rain!

Received my Foxelli poncho from Revain yesterday. Looks very nice - better than I expected. The material is nice, it fits well and the velcro straps are conveniently placed to keep it closed. I like grommets to serve as a tarp. I first started using vintage army rain ponchos in the 60's and I would say they are the best I've seen in years at a reasonable price. I was going to wait for an opportunity to try during a downpour but the weather here stabilized as soon as I got the poncho and it hasn't rained since - maybe that's another feature - it's stopped raining! I'll add that once I've tested it and expect to bump my rating up to a 5 if it works as well as it looks. ***Update: I was finally able to try this out in good rain and it worked great. It's just long enough to keep my pant feet dry (I'm only 5ft 8" tall, and it extends to the top of my boots. The side velcro straps are easy and quick to use and keep my pants from flapping. I work also good on an ATV to not collect water in the crotch area which is uncomfortable and embarrassing!

Pros
  • Rescue blankets
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
