There is a delay between pressing the button and the signal and vibration. (I haven't used the shock feature often enough to know if it has a delay as noise or vibration is usually enough to discourage my dog from unwanted behavior.) This delay is annoying because sometimes my dog would stop pacing himself misbehaving the aid of a time when the collar is removed. I feel like it confuses my dog. For example, I will call my dog to come back to me. She often ignores me for a few seconds before starting to come back to me. She came back to me several times, afraid of the sound or vibration. I find this confusing because by the time the stimulus was given she had already begun to do what I asked her to do.
