This applies to the large aluminum box 1701385. Bought locally after the box I received online was damaged in transit. Judging by the amount of damage I should have assumed this was a bad sign, but I liked the design and fit. I drilled 4 holes in the frame to match those already drilled in the tool box and secured them with heavy duty screws. The hole alignment was perfect. However, the flimsy aluminum case had so many bends that I couldn't add more than 5 or 10 pounds before the holes popped out. I added rubber washers and large wheel arch washers but that didn't help. To make the crate strong enough to hold 35 pounds of gear I had to weld a strut to the underside of the trailer neck and a large strut to the rear. This solved the flexibility problem. Then I bought a few cans of truck body spray to protect the flimsy metal from tools when it hops onto the road. That also seems to have helped. Without the addition of a bottom and rear brace, the box would be useless. I can't imagine what the manufacturer had in mind when they made this extra large but super weak toolbox. I don't recommend it unless you're happy to spend more time and money on modifications.
