This LED lamp brings an old Maglite lamp back to life. Maglites that have a PR style bulb seem to convert very easily. Remove old bulb and insert new LED bulb, tighten silver ring, done. However, the Xenon Maglite needs a bit of work, at least mine does. The silver ring that holds the XENON bulb was slightly smaller in inner diameter and had to be enlarged, I might add cautiously. A hand reamer or rounded file will do the job. After that, the lightbulb falls and the Maglight is transformed. A word of caution; If you have a two-cell flashlight, be sure to order a 3-watt, 3-volt LED bulb. LED bulbs rated at 4-12 volts or higher work best in a 3 cell or higher Maglite.
