Review on ๐ŸŽง Jabra Elite 3 Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds: Noise-Isolating True Wireless Buds with 4 Microphones, Clear Calls, Rich Bass, Customizable Sound, Mono Mode - Navy by Billy Berry

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Single device connection, low audio, intermittent loop through

I think I'm one of the first to get them and I was thrilled based on the early feedback. However, I found the sound lackluster, the setup awkward (and restrictive), and the "hear-through" parodic. The biggest problem is definitely that it doesn't work with multiple devices without disconnecting and fixing, which isn't a problem for most, but for me it's a problem as I easily have headphones for my phone, computer, my iPad and other devices I use. Let me pair multiple devices and choose which ones to use the sets with. That's not the case - between the app and the disconnect process, Jabra has tight control over these earphones, so you'll need to use the app to control some of the features. Turning it off is a hassle - you have to press both buttons on the TVs at the same time for 10 seconds until the LED starts flashing purple. Then you need to press them again for 3 seconds to re-pair them with the new device - the LEDs should blink blue. This never happened to me, but I was still able to connect to a new device through settings. And when I disconnected for the first time, only one earbud flashed purple - I had to do it again. Once you connect to a new device, they will not be paired even though Elite 3 will appear on your previously paired Bluetooth devices. The sound was just ok. I found the volume just wasn't loud enough - it sounds like a "7" on a volume scale of 1 to 10. I'll say what I heard was fine, but I had to go into the app to adjust the base and I really didn't notice any difference. Finally, when the speakers let you hear your surroundings through them, "hearing" only seems to work intermittently. I could hear when the speakers turned on, but I could also tell when they decided to stop. It would be nice if they just let you pair to multiple Bluetooth devices the old-fashioned way, rather than controlling your choices and forcing you to disconnect and fix. Damn.
