I finally found it! For years I've been trying to find the perfect ferret litter box - something deep enough, long enough, but short enough that they can easily slide in without falling through. They are more expensive than I would like but are very durable and the plastic is very thick and well made. The entrance is the perfect level for my young children to get in and out of without having to climb or jump, but high and small enough that a toddler won't fall out and be thrown out if they decide to dig in. I have two now and I won't be replacing them and as I mentioned they fit the Ferret Nation cage snugly so they won't interfere with the doors closing properly, but are tight enough that ferrets can't lock them . move them. I would expect them to work just as well on other animals, particularly older cats with arthritis, and they are strong enough that most small dogs or puppies will have a hard time pushing them.
