I have had this for 2 days to replace one touch verio bc the strips are so expensive. This meter had such great reviews and decent strip pricing so i wanted to get it. I am newly diabetic due to covid it seems, stilk in observation and . My A1C is 4.8 but my blood sugar isnt staying under 100 its been consistently btwn 102-146 for weeks, This monitor told me today it was 164 which i thought was odd so i tested again within 30 seconds and it said 114. Just now I tested, i can feel my sugar is over 100 right now but it said 73 which shocked me I wish i could believe that but 30 sec later 64 30 sec later 115 30 seconds later 73. How am I supposed to work with this? Additionally, the instructions are not clear for people who are new no explaination of terms i had to google things to figure it out, i did calibrate it and get set up but even the calibration is a large range btwn 132-178. What am i supposed to do? The verio strips are unaffordable and my insurance wont cover my costs until I am diagnosed!
