Review on πŸͺ“ Barebones Woodsman Japan NATA Tool by Gregory Chaitanya

Revainrating 3 out of 5

That blade is a problem.

It's a powerful tool, it's just not as well made as it sells. The blade itself is fine, but the back of the blade is most likely printed and not forged. It has a good grip, but the wood on mine is about 1/16 inch smaller than its shaft. To be fair, this offers more traction, but it's an obvious downside. The shell is really not very good. I don't mind that it's a tarpaulin, but underneath is some puffy foam like a 1980's Hunter. It also attaches to the belt with a clip instead of a loop. Featuring a 2+ pound blade that just seems to fall off and is just plain dull. It can easily contain both loops and clips and be more versatile, but after seeing this tool in person it's obvious that it's more suited to an image than useful.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Minor issues
