Razor sharp in Knives & Tools

Excellent balance, extremely versatile. Ideal for bug bags or car machetes. Does everything better than an ax and can be used as a knife for fine work. The grip is a bit uncomfortable if you have big hands, just a complaint but nothing a man can't stand. Cannot replace a long machete for cutting bushes, but nothing can.

Pros
  • Hands-free work
Cons
  • Small parts

Nice tool, I like it

Nice tool, feels good in hand, nice and sharp. My only downside is sort of the bean counting over details. The grips on the handles could have been a bit better finished. The wood is not sanded flush with the stock and is varnished instead of a more natural finish that feels better in the hand. I'll probably end up disguising the blade and tweaking those details to make it my own. In general I like it.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Some bugs

One of the best outdoor tools in my kit.

I can't get enough of the NATA tool. That's exactly what you want. It's a thick piece of steel that's razor sharp and powerful enough to chop or bludgeon for whatever woodwork or trail you need to do. I take it with me on every trip (usually once or twice a month) and it mostly replaces my axe. It is very well made, only needs touching up after use and is incredibly durable. Again, this is one of my favorite outdoor tools and if I ever lose it I will replace it immediately.

Smaller than expected and overall quality is average or worse (for me)

Edge is off center but still sharp. The blade itself has a decent weight, which I like, but the blade itself curves quite a bit to the left. It's smaller than I expected. There is a gap between the two parts of the handle and the metal to the point where I could slide my thumbnail in between on either side. I would give this review one star but I like the overall design. It's a good blade, but I don't think I would put it in the field for fear the handle would detach completely from the tool…

SPICY! Be careful. Here is my experience.

Arrived. Without box. Not in sheath (button not engaged), knife slipped out of sheath, fingers badly injured from slipping. Be careful when unpacking. Went out, quickly cut small to medium sized branches (1 inch), did a few more strokes for 2 inches and up, and managed to cut a 7 inch diameter branch with more strokes. . Repairable. However, still razor sharp. The handle needs to be tightened, which luckily requires an Allen key. Also put on gloves, there is a blister on one finger. Add a…

That blade is a problem.

It's a powerful tool, it's just not as well made as it sells. The blade itself is fine, but the back of the blade is most likely printed and not forged. It has a good grip, but the wood on mine is about 1/16 inch smaller than its shaft. To be fair, this offers more traction, but it's an obvious downside. The shell is really not very good. I don't mind that it's a tarpaulin, but underneath is some puffy foam like a 1980's Hunter. It also attaches to the belt with a clip instead of a loop…

Pros
  • Decent performance

  • Minor issues

But nice blade. best for hunting and fishing

Pros: I like the blade. It's heavy and very sharp. Good bevels. Good ending. The scabbard is fine too, although I'm not sure of the purpose of the small piece of leather surrounding the scabbard. Cons: The grip is terrible. I have big hands but you would have to have huge hands to hold this knife comfortably. The handle length is too long. Also, the handle is too thin for my hand. Even if you have very large hands to accommodate the long handle, the handle is too thin to hold comfortably. It's…
