They almost never work without first "playing around" with the settings or manually reconnecting them to the phone's Bluetooth or to each other. The one on the right often works for you, but the one on the left is mute. They also periodically turn off once you get them working - it's a constant struggle to use them. Poor fit in ear - even using the various silicone bits included in the kit to solve the problem - and they often fall out. I haven't tried anything more serious with them than walking and I expect the problem of keeping them in the ear will be much worse when running or hiking for example. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product.
