Huge cons: kitchen and dining room

I may not be like most espresso drinkers, but I may be like a small percentage of you. This review is aimed at that small percentage of people who have tried this drink only a few times in their lives, perhaps after a gourmet dinner for a special occasion, those who never go to Starbucks and have never dreamed of trying it to prepare at home. Yes I am. I think this car is made for people like me. After all, I love the taste of coffee and my espresso experience was enjoyable, but these multi-thousand-dollar contraptions with all the shiny chrome tubing and dials scared me. It's as simple, compact and easy to use as my Keurig Brewer, in fact it's almost identical in size to my Keurig Mini. UNPACKING When you first unpack, you'll find more than tape, cellophane, and other protective materials. Check carefully so you don't miss anything. After that, the setup process is quite simple, just dump a full tank of clean water through it. Let's stop here to discuss the first of several things that make owning this product frustrating. I'm a much more tech savvy person than average, I can figure out most things on my own without instructions or tech support. When I looked at this case, I was confused. Between her overbearing overuse of untranslated Italian words and Rube Goldberg's design, nothing was intuitive. I spent the first half hour reading a very detailed user guide just to know where to start. SEARCHING FOR THE CAPSULES After the cleaning process, I encountered a bigger and even more frustrating hurdle - finding coffee capsules for this machine. Not only do they not come with any samples, there isn't a word anywhere on the machine or in the instruction manual that explains anything other than you can only use the blue capsules with it. Does that mean they are blue? Or is blue a trademark? Where can you find blue pods and how do they differ from dozens of other types of coffee pods on the market? I went to my supermarket and searched the coffee shelves. There were plenty of K-cups and Nespresso capsules, but none with the word 'blue' on the box, not even the Lavazza brand. I bought some anyway, but when I got home they were clearly too small. I decided that any criticism of the lady who had issues with capsules falling right through the brewer was too harsh, she probably found herself in the same dilemma as I did when trying to find those elusive blue capsules. I've been to trendy specialty shops that sell exotic coffee lovers and they've never heard of the blue pods. I've searched every word on the extremely poorly designed Lavazza website, but no, not a word about pod compatibility and comparison, and there was no specific way to find pods compatible with that particular model. I ended up ordering a hundred cases of these from Revain, far more than I wanted or needed, and yet they offered no help translating the pretentious Italian words into a meaningful description of how dark and intense a roast is. . The election was a shot in the dark. RICKY DO NOT LOSE THIS MANUAL. As it turned out, making a cup of espresso was still a chore, but not as tedious anymore. Oddly enough, the user first has to quickly press one of the two buttons, being careful not to hold it down. This starts the water heating. After about three minutes, the indicators stop flashing and stay on. This is your tip to fully raise the chrome plate on top of the machine, toss the capsule to the side and close the lever. If you do everything right, the brewing process will begin and the used capsule will fall into a hidden drawer inside the device. Advanced users will find that one of the buttons is programmed to always dispense four ounces while the other button can be trained to fill. bigger cups. You decide when and why you do it. WAKE THE FAMILY I expect espresso to be a strong wake-up call, so I drink it. What was unexpected was the sheer noise the brewing process makes was enough to wake everyone in the house. I can't believe how much noise such a small device can make. It doesn't give me much confidence that the car can handle all that vibration and last long. Things discussed above. But to be honest, they're all dealing with the company's terrible way of getting its capsule compatibility message across, and the nearly impossible task of finding and being forced to buy blue compatible capsules at every local store in case of 100 to buy online. This is a huge minus against recommending this product. I'm not saying to avoid it, just go in with your eyes wide open, what if those elusive blue pods are so hard to find now, will you be stuck with an outdated device in a year or two? The warning sign of this is that they are already starting to discount this item heavily, almost to the closing price.
