I'm a big seller on resale sites and this is a must for me. When selling clothes/shoes I use them to pack items in a plastic bag for an extra layer of protection to protect from water damage and from normal shipping. If you're supposed to be packing an item in a paper mailbox and the item ends up in a mailbox that's leaking water during a rainstorm, there may be color gradients - no need to worry if you're using those plastic bags (at least I've never received one Complaint from the buyer after shipping more than 400 items)! This is a good, efficient and cost-effective way to add extra protection to the packaging without adding to the weight/shipping costs of the product.
