This is a great, big, great and CHEAP water jug. I'm not sure why it's called a jug in the advertisement - it doesn't have a spout and is obviously intended to be drunk by one person, not to serve drinks to multiple people. I was looking for a replacement for my old sports bottle. I had several $20-$30 contenders in my cart when I stumbled across this little gem. I couldn't be happier. This "jug" is much better built than I expected given the price. It's durable, the handle is not only very strong but big enough for my oversized paws. The lid is also made to last. It is double-walled so that the drink stays cold for a long time, very stable thanks to its wide base and holds up to one liter. It's not fully waterproof, but it's leakproof enough to prevent water spills. There are no big annoying logos on it. It's graduated in milliliters and ounces — they're not that annoying, but you probably don't want to serve them to guests either. Groove around the lip. You won't notice when the lid is on, but in the unlikely event you drink from it without the lid, it's a distraction. I reckon that I have to be careful when washing that it doesn't pick up any dirt. However, this is not so important for shooting stars. I suspect it's a manufacturing defect - this one just wasn't installed enough - yours will probably fit just fine.
