EDIT (7/23): After removing the star like today, the fans stopped spinning after about a year. However, the LEDs still glow when plugged in, but essentially all five fans are off. For the price I suppose a year of cooling is fine but still not what I would expect from a product. This is the first cooling pad I've ever received so I'm not sure how it compares to others. Fits my laptop perfectly and the clips that prevent the laptop from moving forward are the perfect thickness for my 2011 MacBook Pro on the retina. I see them digging into other people's wrists with thinner laptop models. Seems to work well, although the fans are far from quiet in my opinion. In fact, they are quite noisy. Even when playing music, they are still noticeable and somewhat annoying. But then again I've never used anything like this so I'm not sure if I'm just being sensitive to the noise it makes or something. Overall I am happy with this product and appreciate its affordability.
