Review on X Large Men's Under Armour ColdGear Compression Activewear by Masud Taylor

Revainrating 2 out of 5

QUALITY OF MEMBERS (good) VS. Amazon (poor)

I have 2 of these from Dicks (bought 2020) and 2 of these on ebay (bought 2021). I've been using these Coldgears compression turtlenecks for 8 years now. It seems that every year Under Armor changes the design and either the quality gets cheaper or the design gets worse. I put them up for sale on ebay during the 2021 holidays and bought 2 for about $35 each to update my previous versions. For savings over the original $50-$35 price point, I thought it was a good buy. However, #1 I find them a little less comfortable, #2 not as good quality as Dick's in 2020, #3 $35 should be THE ORIGINAL FULL PRICE AND NOT $50. Cons Cons Cons: 1. You can see in the photo I took that the seams on the back are right down the middle and it's so uncomfortable and uncomfortable every time you sit or bend over that you even feel it with or without another shirt. The 2020 version by Dicks wraps around the back shoulder at the top and you can barely feel the stitching. 2. Both are marked Made in El Salvador. Nothing has changed about that.3. The fabric and insulation are comparable but I put them in the light and the one on ebay was thinner and let more light through. I also felt that the old 2020 version had more "lint" on the fabric. This means that the new one has less fabric and the cold penetrates more easily, so it's not as "coldgear" as the old ones. The sizes are the same on Dicks and ebay. It hasn't changed. I personally order them one size up for a looser fit. So if I wear large long-sleeved shirts, I go for XL. The fit is ruffled but not too ruffled.5. Dick has a different logo under the armor in the neck area on the back, and "Armor" is written on the turtle's neck. The ebay version only has a white logo sticker on the neck and nothing else. If they put less design work and fewer materials into it, then every year Under Armor cuts corners on every aspect, both design and materials, and makes less and less, but it's all on ebay and it's still 50 dollars to dicks. Both places have the same price. Why? Where are the savings for the customer? We're getting less fabric, bad stitching, less work that goes into Cold Gear's design, and less of pretty much everything, but these Cold Gear tops are still $50. It seems that for everything we continue to receive every year, we pay the same prices or more for less and less quality. Don't forget why we're all getting cheaper and cheaper clothes because cheap labor in other countries and Americans are voting for policies that allow this crap to be imported. UA can do better than charge $50 for a shirt and have it made in El Salvador. Charge at least $60 and do it in America if they don't charge $5 and do it in China.

Pros
  • Fits perfectly
Cons
  • The item may not be available in all sizes
