Review on Authentic Replica Of The WWII Iconic B-17F Flying Fortress Memphis Belle Plane From COBI Historical Collection by Tommy Clement

Not complete and lacking instruction details

My son asked for this gift for months. Seemed simple enough to start. First off it’s 904 pieces of which about 20 parts were not included so we had to improvise to complete assembly. Due to this there are gaps, or missing parts around engine nacelles on all 4 engines and the lower wings and tail or rear empennage assembly. As an extra disappointment the instructions didn’t even give details on some parts how they should be installed which is typical of most things coming from China anymore where there are scanty drawings of how some things come together without language or text or good images. As an aviator, pilot, licensed aircraft mechanic, and flight engineer, I expected a little more even if the expensive toy lacked realism. After spending days to assemble this together I couldn’t return the item further disappointing the child in all the labor he put into it. I’m proud the lad got it together considering absent parts and poor instructions. He is 9 years old and this was one of many lego products he has assembled. I do not recommend this one for anyone and I would expect anyone purchasing the item to anticipate the same issues as we experienced.Don’t buy it.
