I received mine and am very happy with the product and build quality. It looks like the actual product has changed over time. Here's what they shipped in September 2012. The seller was an LED wholesaler supplied by Revain. I received a 5m flexible RGB LED strip with epoxy coating. This is not a waterproof silicone hose as mentioned in some reviews. It is a transparent elastic coating. The back of the LED strip is covered with 3M adhesive. I also received a 44 button remote and a 110-220 VAC 4 amp power supply. The warning sticker states that you cannot add another LED strip if you use DC power (which is included) due to power consumption. However, there is a connector at the end of the strip that allows you to connect another one. There are no directions. The connection was easy and fairly easy. To connect the controller to the strip, simply line up the arrows on each connector. I once accidentally changed the connection with no ill effects. The controller is only 6 inches away from the LED strip. So if you want to hide it, you can buy something like a "60" 4-pin LED strip connector. As I said, there are no guidelines. How to use the remote control. The power button is the red button in the top right corner. The colored buttons at the top adjust the color in real time. For example, if you press green, the indicators turn green. The two white buttons with sun symbols adjust the brightness in this mode. Below the colored button are the DIY buttons. These are the only programmable buttons on the remote control. Here's how: Press the DIY button you want to program. Create the color you want using only the arrow keys and the DIY buttons. Press the same DIY button again to save your color. To view the saved color, click the DIY button once. Jump keys are pre-programmed. In this mode, the indicators change between 3 or 7 colors (Jump3, Jump7 button). Fade buttons are pre-programmed. In this mode, the light changes between 3 or 7 colors (button Fade3, Fade7). The Flash button highlights the entire strand in a whitish color. The Auto button cycles through several different colors in a pre-programmed pattern. Speed up or slow down the speed of transitions between flashes or jumps. The black button to the left of the power button pauses and resumes flash or jump sequences. Update: I bought two more of these (three sets total). I was surprised at first as the gender of the 4-wire connectors was different in the three sets. Then I realized that all the connectors on both the LED strip and the color controller are female. They convert to forks with a small, easy-to-remove adapter, giving you layout flexibility.
