I bought several different microphones from the factory to use with the radio. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either. The mic looks cheap but lasted two weeks, used indoors, outdoors, dropped etc. The biggest issue is the lag. The radios we use have a delay of about half a second between pressing the button and the start of the tone. This particular mic seems to be close to 2-3 seconds. The person speaking can be heard properly, the tone is decent. In general, the microphone is not bad. However, I've bought other brands that worked similarly but were almost half the price. I wasn't expecting anything amazing for the price, but I was expecting something better than the cheaper options.
