Remote directional Microphone & Speaker transmits high quality sound even in loud environments and helps to provide a really perfect long range distance communication. There is a 3.5 mm earpiece jack on the mic for discreet communications, and it will cut the audio from the speaker when properly inserted. These mics will clip to our backpack straps at our shoulder or in front for easy access and convenient communications. It is also easier to use these mics while in the car with your handy-talkies. Clip holds on tight and will not fall off randomly. Cord is strong and coil allows for good flexibility and reach. Remtise Speaker Microphone is most popular in police and security personnel, and mostly used for patrol duty, large team activities, business activities and senior entertainment venues.

Don't waste your money

Only one star and that's because you can't leave a review without stars. This does not carry over to the Baofeng UV-82, although it is advertised that it does. Save your money.

Pros
  • The microphone features a 3.5mm headphone jack for unobtrusive communication, and when properly plugged in, the sound from the speaker is muted.
Cons
  • I will add later

Great for outdoors.

I use this in my radio all the time, it makes listening easier in a noisy environment. The only negative I can say is that people say my voice on the other end doesn't sound like my voice, they say my main voice sounds a bit high. Apart from that it works great.

Pros
  • The microphone features a 3.5mm headphone jack for unobtrusive communication and will mute the speaker when properly plugged in.
Cons
  • Some bugs

Ideal for my use

What I like is that there is a clip on the back of the speaker/microphone. I can clip it to myself or to a shirt or pants pocket for easy access. The cable feels solid and the connection to the radio is solid. I have it for personal use. I rarely need it so it hasn't been heavily used. That said, I haven't dropped it, used it every day for a week, or anything heavy. For my light consumption this is perfectly fine.

Pros
  • These mics attach to backpack straps on the shoulder or front for easy access and convenient communication. It's also easier to use these mics in a car with portable radios.
Cons
  • crumpled

It's all right

I bought several different microphones from the factory to use with the radio. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either. The mic looks cheap but lasted two weeks, used indoors, outdoors, dropped etc. The biggest issue is the lag. The radios we use have a delay of about half a second between pressing the button and the start of the tone. This particular mic seems to be close to 2-3 seconds. The person speaking can be heard properly, the tone is decent. In general, the microphone is not

Pros
  • Directional microphone and speaker with remote control delivers high-quality sound even in noisy environments, ensuring a truly perfect connection over long distances.
Cons
  • A few little things
