I've had all sorts of dog barriers you can think of in the past. I started with a fence in the ground that you manage around your property. They work fairly well but require a lot of setup work and are expensive if you have a large area. I just moved to a new house with a lot more space and so the floor option is not acceptable to me. I also didn't want to use a traditional wireless fence because I've had no luck with the ones I've tried in the past, mainly because they would get too much interference from my Wi-Fi and cell towers in the area. This is my first try. with wireless GPS barrier. It doesn't have any cables or a transmitter box, it just uses standard GPS. It's really simple and works very well. You simply calibrate the collar at the center of the circular rim and set the radius length from that position. The collar then captures the GPS signal from satellites in space and creates an invisible barrier based on the coordinates you provide, creating an invisible circular boundary. In my experience, some of the advantages of this collar are: - Easy and quick to set up (it literally took me less than 5 minutes to set everything up) - Relatively inexpensive efficiency (especially when compared to ground hedges). Note: If you have more than 1 dog, you only need an additional collar. Because it uses GPS, it's a reliable and accurate boundary. I haven't had any issues with interference (like wifi, cell towers, etc.) either - fully portable. It can be removed and installed anywhere in minutes. This is perfect for me when I want to take my dog to a farm or campsite. Great for large areas. I really recommend this if you have a large area or farm. A few things to mention: - If you have an odd shaped yard or a small area this probably isn't the ideal collar for you as the barrier should be a circular border. .- It saves your central location and settings in the onboard memory, so you never have to reset your GPS location unless you go to another place (e.g. park, beach, another house, etc.) . Resetting your GPS location is very easy (see attached video). I am very satisfied with the collar, I would buy it again.
