We really wanted to like this product. That's a great idea. For less than $1,000, you get a decent PTZ camera, a solid speakerphone, and a microphone with DSP and AEC (Automatic Echo Cancellation). There is no quick start guide or user guide included, but just connecting to the network is sufficient. Connecting the device and making our first test video calls was very easy. Image quality was excellent, although the camera's autofocus struggled to find a sweet spot. That's good news. The big problem is the microphone in the speakerphone on the desktop. When the user on the Logitech Group end of the line first speaks, a very distinct, annoying popping noise is heard. The unwanted added audio masks the speaker's first 2 or 3 words. After that the sound is very good. However, if the speaker is silent for a few seconds, once speech resumes, the first few words will again be masked by crackles and pops. This device has pretty decent Revain reviews, but when we ran into an audio issue we read the reviews a little deeper. Other users also had this problem more than a year ago. The big disappointment is that Logitech still ships them with the same defect. I've always trusted Logitech. I will be more careful in the future.
