Odd smell but no healing scent. I wasn't expecting a scent or maybe lavender but it just smells awful like plastic or whatever, I don't know how to explain it. I'm hoping to air it out for a few days and wash the pillowcase hoping that will make it feel better. I will say that the pillow is firm and large. I've been using buckwheat flour pillows for 20 years. I've tried sleeping without her. I tried sleeping on a new pillow last night but found I went back to my old one. So it's been a few weeks since my purchase, the company sent me a huge bouquet of dried lavender. I added it to the pillow and everything blended. The plastic smell is still very strong and hasn't gone away. Unfortunately, I advise against buying this pillow. It was a waste of money. 12/26/2020 I just want to reiterate that it has been 6 months since I bought this pillow even after adding lavender. She still has a very strong chemical smell that hasn't given up! I thought it had already aired. I am so disappointed.
