Review on CAMVATE Crab Clamp Thread Microphones by Seth Shea

I bought this CAMVATE crab clip to use with a gooseneck and small microphone. In fact, it works great: It securely clamps almost any pipe or flat surface 2 inches or less thick. With the gooseneck I can quickly move the microphone to any desired position. You can also mount the mic directly to the CAMVATE crab clamp, although you will need a standard 5/8" lock nut to secure the mic mount once it's in place. My guess is that the CAMVATE crab clip was originally designed for photography and the threading is for cold boots, ball heads and lighting accessories. So an extremely versatile little clip. Might buy another pair (but no mic adapter).
