This set has many things. For most, this seems like a decent quality, especially for beginners. It doesn't have a rotating knife, however, and if you want to carve designs into leather, which often involves stamping, you'll probably want to buy one. This is generally a pretty good coverage of the tools and parts needed for leatherworking and bookmaking. The stamps were in good condition. Some of the tools could definitely use better sharpening before shipping. 3 of my punches aren't sharp enough to cut and I need to sharpen them with a sling (not in this set either) but you will need to do that over time. I have to say I wasn't impressed at all with the little box cutter knife. It wobbles and is unstable. If you're not careful, it can hurt you badly. I don't trust it. The ring on the thimble is also thin and weak. All in all it has a lot going for it and what it has is probably worth the total cost, especially if you've considered buying all the parts individually, but that's not all and you'll need other parts.
