I made this thing when you think something will be one size fits all, but when you get it it's totally different. and this time it worked perfectly. I bought them to cover my business and they do just that. Incredibly bright and visible from afar. They do a great job of lighting up the front of my house. They are MUCH larger than a regular lightbulb, if you're short on space be sure to check the dimensions. I ended up putting them in wall sconces and had to throw away the caps I originally used. I agree, but you may not be down. Mine have held up to the weather so far and other people have said the same so I don't mind. If I could cover them I would, but I haven't found a solution yet.
