Review on 🦖 Papo Parasaurolophus Dinosaur Figure: A Dino-Lover's Dream! by Jeremy Black

This is a very well formed dinosaur model and the pose is quite cautious and unsteady as you would expect from a herbivore. The detail in the skin and muscles is great, and even in the mouth! The only gripe I have is that the color scheme of green stripes on a tan/light green background looks a bit monotonous. The hues are nice, but the width and intensity of the stripes is so even across the animal that it looks a bit unnatural. The effect is almost as if the animal is standing behind a spray-painted palisade. It seems to me that markings like stripes on real animals usually vary in thickness and intensity (or contrast) on different parts of the animal. It would be nice if the paintwork could be improved to look more natural and less artificial. However, this is a small problem because the sculpture looks great, the color tones are harmonious and realistic and of course children still like to play with it. I am very happy with it.
