Didn't last a year

We bought these in November and they fit well and seemed to run pretty well. Last week they stopped working and when we opened the hood we found that they were completely broken on one side. I realize it was a pretty good price for the item but they shouldn't be expensive anyway and I hope they last more than 8-9 months.
