Comfort and great fit

This is my first running vest and I am very happy with it so far. I chose the hydration vest because the style of the running backpack bounces and moves as I run. I like that access to water and snacks is right from the front of the vest keeping you safe and comfortable. The first thing that struck me about this vest is how well constructed it looks. Sewing is very good, materials are good. The only material I'm not sure about is on the edges (you see close-ups in the photos). To be honest, I like that it's a soft fleece-like material (hydration packs annoy me when I'm walking on uneven edges), but I'm not sure how the soft material will hold up. I'm just not used to seeing this type of material on running/hiking packs. Also, I'm glad it fits. I can never find a hydration belt or backpack small enough to fit me properly. It is easily adjustable to fit the correct size without sacrificing proper function and fit. The backpack has a nice elastic band to keep the extra straps in place when adjusting so they don't flap and the front straps can be slid up or down very easily to get the right size. the position of the straps / buckles. The water bottles are of good quality and thankfully don't leak. What I would improve is to make the bottle pockets out of stretch material. Unfortunately, I can't fit larger bottles for longer runs. I wish I could as I really like this backpack and would love to take it with me for longer distances. In the photo you can see a dark blue material. Many bags and pouches are made from this material. If this material had stretch it would make this backpack even better because I could put my phone or large energy bars in the zippered pocket and fit large liquids in the front and back pockets. You can see it in the photos. I would like to point out that it's nice (and you can see in the picture) that the zip pocket opens up even more than it looks. Another thing that can make a great backpack even better is to make the side adjustment straps out of an elastic webbing. This would make the pack tighter to prevent bouncing while the fit still does not restrict body movement and breathing. Many hydration packs don't have this, but it's just an idea that might help. However, the fit is very satisfactory. These are just suggestions and what I would like most is for the water bags to be stretchy. If this product is changed to have better front hydration pockets I will most likely buy this pack. I find the backpack does what I expected i.e. it should be a comfortable, well-fitting, non-restrictive and convenient solution to hydration while running as backpack-style hydration bounces, shifts, rubs and has no front access . Overall I am very happy with this purchase and glad I made this choice. He will see many, many miles.
