I'm 5'6", 150 pounds and most of the 'weight' is in my upper body. I have a medium/large top and a 4/6 on the bottom. At my wedding, I wore an A-line dress with an open back, so I needed something that would hold my waist without revealing the back of the dress. Usually these panties cut me in half and give me "muffins," but I decided to try these just in case. I was so excited because they don't cause bulges. They flatter me and are very comfortable (as far as shapewear goes). For my wedding night, I buy regular lingerie, but I like that it's lace and completely transparent at the ass. You still have something "sexy". I don't need to cover my hips/buttocks so they're great for tummy control, but if you need glute support this probably isn't the best option.
