When I received it I tested the product and put the battery in it. It turned on and seemed to work fine, so I took out the battery to avoid accidentally charging it, then put everything back in the box to use when I needed it. I was on a trip last weekend, took it out of the box and put the battery in and it wouldn't turn on at all. It was a waste of money and I would really like my money back but the return window is closed. I hope to hear from the company soon.

I weighed my luggage at the baggage counter in the airport and then put my luggage on the scale at the ticket counter - exactly the same. The handle is long enough to be held with two hands while hanging luggage off the floor, but short enough to fit in the front pocket of the backpack I carry with me. Very light weight. Have used it a few times and it works very well. Well built, easy to use, easy to read and much smaller/takes up less space than my mechanical scale. Seems very accurate compared to the airline scales at the airport. Nice features like automatic shutdown and manual shutdown. Also displayed in lb, g, oz and kg.
