Checked the sizing chart and ordered a 10-12 but my son couldn't fit it over the hips. Swapped for 14-16 and with just an inch more fabric I couldn't get them past my ass. I finally got the 18-20 and they fit around the waist but now he looks like he's wearing capris unless I pull them up to the navel which is fine we don't need any plumbing at the school pool . The baby weighs only 103 pounds, and in terms of breast size, it is almost the average of 10-12 measurements. I think they need to reconsider the size chart and measure hips instead of weight and chest. Suitable for 10-12 in different clothes. So definitely small. I recommend getting at least one size up and if that doesn't work you can exchange for the next size up. We also ordered a rashguard shirt and it fit as expected for the 10-12 we ordered.
